Terms and conditions

All rights to artwork remain the sole property of Ember Expressions by Stephanie aka: Stephanie Boone including after purchase. This includes originals, commissions, prints and any other current or future reproductions of any kind. Purchase of any artwork by Ember Expressions by Stephanie does not grant the customer permission to reproduce, sell, or distribute for profit or otherwise unless written permission is granted by the artist.

Resharing or posting images on social media of work purchased does not breach this and is always permitted.

Liability

Ember Expressions by Stephanie aka: Stephanie Boone is not liable for any purchased pieces once they are in the possession of the customer. It is not our responsibility to refund, exchange, replace or compensate for any damage that has occurred to artwork as a result of customer mishandling. This includes incorrect hanging, dropping work, defacing work in any way, finger prints, staining, dirt, or fading as a result of prolonged exposure to sunlight. Artist provides clear instructions to install work in an area that does not get constant exposure to sun as UV will darken wood/lighten burns overtime.

Ember Expressions by Stephanie will compensate for damage when a product has been damaged due to mishandling of postal services prior to delivery.

Please read all product descriptions thoroughly. It is not the artist's responsibility to compensate customers who have neglected to read the information provided on handling, care of pieces and all other details about the work. Sizing and dimensions of each item listed is of the entire piece of wood, inclusive of the bark. While Ember Expressions by Stephanie attempts to give the most accurate size estimate for each custom order, they work with live edge wood in which no two pieces will ever be the same.

Actual sizing, wood markings, grain variation and existing bark on each piece will vary.

Shipping

Please allow up 5 business days for Ember Expressions by Stephanie to prepare your order for shipment.

Delivery within the US takes 5-10 business days, Orders to Canada take up to 11 - 20 business days, and International can take 1-3 weeks. 

Some countries have strict policies on live edge wood being imported. If you do not see your country listed at check out, please email emberexpressions_bystephanie@gmail.com and we will research into your country's customs policies.

Ember Expressions by Stephanie covers shipping costs within Canada & the US after a purchase exceeds $150 and is not responsible for any additional duties and/or taxes incurred upon arrival of your order. 

Returns and Refunds

Custom Orders: Order Cancellations are accepted until Stephanie has begun your order - once she has started the sketching of your piece, or has purchased materials for the piece, neither refunds or returns will be granted. Stephanie will maintain communication via email throughout the order process and multiple images are sent to ensure you are happy with your piece every step of the way. Original Artwork (Excluding custom orders): This encompasses any artwork within the shop that is not a custom order. These are ready made, ship-to-order pieces that have been handcrafted and designed by either Stephanie Boone. Once the order has been shipped these are final sale and no refunds, exchanges, or returns will be granted based on a change of mind. Accurate sizing, color, wood species and high resolution images from multiple angles are provided within product descriptions. If you would like further images or video of the piece before making a decision to purchase, Stephanie is happy to provide these and you may request so through email to emberexpression_bystephanie@gmail.com.

If somehow a piece has been damaged upon delivery due to courier mishandling, Ember Expressions by Stephanie will try to figure out a resolution to fix your piece or create a new one. Please send photos of any damage incurred within 24 hours of receiving the order to be eligible for compensation. If photos are sent later than this deadline, it cannot be guaranteed that damage was caused by postal services and not from customer mishandling.

 

Duties and Taxes

Ember Expressions by Stephanie is based in Florida, United States and is not liable for import fees on any products purchased. This includes but is not limited to the commissioning of a custom piece, originals and merchandise.

Any applicable taxes and duties are not included in the checkout total, these are determined within the destination country by the customs agency. Some countries charge import taxes while others do not. If charges are applicable, the customs agency will notify the recipient either upon delivery by notice, mail, phone, or email.

It is the responsibility of the customer to pay any duties, value added tax or other similar charges.

Items are declared at purchase value for exporting and under no circumstance will documents be falsified.
